SEEBURGER AG (over 1,200 employees, more than 14,000 customers worldwide) offers an agile and secure platform for enterprise integrations with its Business Integration Suite (BIS). Since in2code took over support in 2023 and a rapid mobile-first relaunch, the website has undergone significant technological development. The latest milestone: the successful upgrade to TYPO3 v13. Today, the project is characterized by a strong marketing focus, state-of-the-art automation, and a global infrastructure (including mirror servers in China).
Phase 1
Acquisition, relaunch, SEO & TYPO3 v13
The collaboration began in 2023 with a clear goal: mobile-first and absolute stability. We took over the technical support of the TYPO3 application and the deployment servers. What started with a rapid relaunch recently culminated in a seamless upgrade to the future-proof TYPO3 v13. At the same time, we not only provide SEEBURGER with technical support, but also offer their strong marketing team a dedicated technical SEO consulting department from in2code.
Phase 2
The Marketing Machine (LUX & Marketo)
SEEBURGER's marketing team is innovative and highly professional. To support this drive technically, we created a seamless marketing infrastructure. In addition to our own marketing automation solutions, LUX and LUXenterprise, they also use Marketo. Our team developed a customized solution that allows editors to easily integrate Marketo forms into TYPO3. The key feature: LUX "listens" to the input in these forms and enriches the lead profiles accordingly.
Phase 3
The heart of it all – The Resource Center
The project's pride and joy is its comprehensive resource center. Here, users will find structured assets, with search and filtering handled entirely by Apache Solr at top speed. From events, articles, blogs, case studies, and white papers to on-demand webcasts and analyst reports (a total of 13 categories) – everything is logically organized. Looking ahead: This system will soon be scaled further to fully automate the import and display of SEEBURGER AG products via an API.
Phase 4
Global infrastructure – deployment to beyond the Great Wall of China
SEEBURGER operates globally. To guarantee optimal loading times for visitors in Asia, we have positioned a mirror server in China. With every deployment (via automated CI pipelines), the code is deployed without any downtime, not only to the European target servers but also simultaneously to the server in China. All managed from a single TYPO3 instance!

LUX Marketing Automation
Our TYPO3-integrated solution, LUX and LUXenterprise, is used as agile on-page intelligence.
It provides the marketing team with precise data on lead sources (referrers), enables A/B testing directly on the website, and controls dynamic workflows to target visitors effectively (for example, pop-ups can contain information about specific actions, etc.).
Marketo Marketing Automation
Marketo Engage acts as the central, global lead database. Here, all qualified leads are consolidated, enriched, and managed for comprehensive campaigns and nurturing processes.
The connection is established via our proprietary interface: Marketo forms are natively integrated into TYPO3, while LUX tracks conversations and refines profiles in the background – for seamless lead management without any breaks in the workflow.
Seamless sales and marketing processes with Microsoft Dynamics
To further centralize global sales and marketing processes, Microsoft Dynamics will replace Adobe Marketo at SEEBURGER. The proven TYPO3 infrastructure and LUX-powered on-page intelligence will remain the robust foundation for digital lead generation.
Q&A: The results in detail
Question: How do you guarantee fast loading times for the platform worldwide – and especially in Asia?
Answer: SEEBURGER operates globally, which places special demands on its infrastructure. To optimally serve the Chinese market, we positioned a mirror server directly in China (behind the Chinese firewall). The TYPO3 extension EXT:staticfilecache provides the extreme performance boost. It converts dynamic pages into static HTML documents, which are delivered by the web server in milliseconds and without any complex database queries.
The architectural highlight: Both server locations (Europe and China) are managed from a single TYPO3 instance. Deployment is fully synchronized and zero-downtime via automated CI/CD pipelines. This ensures that Asian visitors receive their content instantly, without editors having to maintain data in different systems.
Question: TYPO3 and complex marketing automation – how do you successfully combine them?
Answer: Through a smart "best-of-breed" strategy. We use our in-house TYPO3 extension LUX and LUXenterprise as on-page intelligence. This allows the marketing team to track lead sources (referrers), A/B test pages against each other, and manage website workflows.
At the same time, Marketo acts as the large, central database for all leads. To ensure seamless integration, we developed a customized solution: Editors can easily integrate Marketo forms into TYPO3, while LUX monitors the input in the background. This highly automates the linking of profile and form data without any system breaks.
Question: How do you ensure international SEO visibility with so many different content formats?
Answer: Here, our in-house SEO department provides SEEBURGER marketing with consulting and technical support. A major advantage is the deep technical SEO integration: We've implemented automated content markup with structured data (Schema.org) in JSON-LD format. Whether it's a video, learning video, organizational information, FAQ, article, website, course, product, or tech article – TYPO3 automatically generates the appropriate markup in the background. This allows search engines like Google to immediately understand the content in the correct context, drastically increasing the chances of coveted rich snippets and top rankings.
Question: A major update to a global enterprise system is often a mammoth project. How did the transition to TYPO3 v13 go?
Answer: Surprisingly quiet and extremely efficient! Since we've been continuously supporting the system since taking over in 2023, and had already ensured an extremely clean, modern codebase during the mobile-first relaunch, the foundation was perfectly prepared. Thanks to this high code quality and our rigorous automated testing routines, we were able to complete the upgrade to the latest, future-proof TYPO3 v13 version quickly and securely. This proves that those who continuously invest in their digital infrastructure save a significant amount of time, effort, and budget during major updates.
