With the help of the TYPO3 extension in2frontendauthentication, frontend users can be defined using a fixed IP address. Entire IP rooms (IPv4 and IPv6) are also easy to configure.

Ulm University uses this function to automatically give employees and students in the university network access to certain content in the TYPO3 frontend. In this way, students can be addressed directly with information relevant to them.
