The Technical University East westphalia-Lippe is an institution in the technology region Ostwestfalen-Lippe with a focus on engineering sciences. The university is located in Lemgo. Further locations are in Detmold and Höxter.
Currently the university has about 6500 students in about 60 study courses. The TH-OWL has been one of the ten strongest research universities in Germany for several years. Due to its research achievements, it was accepted into the European University Association in 2010.
At the end of last year, in2code GmbH was commissioned with the relaunch of the TH-OWL website. The most important goal was to meet the launch date of April 2019 under all circumstances. In addition to the creation of a completely new layout in compliance with the new CI guidelines, several new servers were also set up to run the website with a current TYPO3 9.5 LTS.
One of the most important elements is the studyfinder. Therefore, the new start page contains a quick finder plugin for a quick search for courses of study. By the way, these are displayed with all important key data using our freely available TYPO3 extension Study Course Finder.
In a second step we are happy to add further important elements for the TH. So the centralization - the transfer from other, older TYPO3 installations to the new instance - is as much a topic as the presentation of events and the possibility to apply via the website.
All further information about the renaming and the new corporate design can be found in the official press release of the TH-OWL.
Infrastructure and Server
A fancy continuous integration connection with the freely available software Gitlab CI ensures uninterrupted work of the editors, while new versions of the website can be loaded at any time.
